Marking the occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi penned a heartfelt blog reflecting on the event's significance, celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage and the unity it fosters.

He emphasized how the event, held every 12 years, transcends religious boundaries, drawing people from all walks of life to partake in rituals believed to cleanse the soul and grant spiritual liberation. This year’s Maha Kumbh, which began on January 13, saw an unprecedented turnout, with estimates suggesting over 200 million people participated over its 45-day duration. The event culminated with the final Shahi Snan (royal bath) on February 26, a spectacle where saints, ascetics, and devotees took a dip in the holy waters under a sky painted with devotion.
